Microneedling is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures available today. It’s gained popularity due to its reputation for giving people beautiful, clear skin. Morpheus8 microneedling involves pricking the skin with tiny, sterilized needles. These needles create small wounds on your skin to cause it to produce more collagen and elastin. This process heals your skin and helps you look younger. Some places call this procedure ‘collagen induction therapy’.

Microneedling is a procedure used by dermatologists to treat a number of skin conditions. This method requires the use of multiple tiny, sterile needles to puncture the skin, causing physical trauma to it in the process. This trauma stimulates the derma, or the deeper layer of the skin, to rebuild itself by producing collagen and elastin.

Morpheus8 microneedling aims to address a number of skin-related issues, including:

    • Wrinkles
    • Acne
    • Alopecia
    • Scarring
    • Stretch marks
    • Skin pigmentation issues
    • Rosacea
    • Loose skin

Microneedling can also help rejuvenate skin.

Professionals also use microneedling to inject medication, such as topical tretinoin or vitamin C, deeper into the skin. This can improve the treatment of several skin issues, including acne scarring.

    How Does Microneedling Work?

Now that we know what microneedling is about, let’s find out how it works. This cosmetic procedure creates thousands of microchannels that stimulate the natural wound healing capabilities of your body, while minimizing cell damage at the same time.  This process rejuvenates skin from the inside out, resulting in the effective remodeling of the scar tissue, while retaining the skin’s overall structure simultaneously.

Microneedling increases the skin’s collagen production and also trigger’s other healing factors by causing trauma to it.

Collagen is one of the most important proteins that helps keep our skin looking young, firm, and smooth. As we grow older, the amount of collagen in our skin decreases, resulting in wrinkles and other signs of aging.

There are also other ways our skin can lose collagen such as, injuries, acne scarring, stretch marks and other types of scars.

It should be noted that microneedling doesn’t provide a quick fix for collagen loss. Although it does promote the growth of new skin, it can take several weeks or even months for you to actually see the full results of the procedure.

Morpheus8 microneedling is usually performed by professionals, but recently there are products on the market that allow people to do this procedure on themselves at home. These products claim to improve the appearance of wrinkles on the neck and acne scars, but they can have varied results, especially if you have no knowledge of microneedling at all. In such cases, it would be better for you to go to a professional instead.

    How does Microneedling Repair Skin?

There are three phases involving the wound-repair process:

    1. Inflammation –this involves piercing the skin with the needles. Doing so trigger’s your immune system to cleanse the wound, get rid of debris, increase blood flow and create new tissues.
    2. Proliferation –after the wound is healed and rebuilt with new granulation cells, a new network of blood vessels grows.
    3. Remodeling –new dermal tissues and blood vessels replace the wounded skin.

    Benefits of Microneedling

In a systematic review done in 2018, microneedling was found to be a safe and effective way to rejuvenate skin, treat scars, and wrinkles.

However, researchers also acknowledged that further research is still needed with  deciding whether microneedling is a suitable treatment option in all cases.

According to a press release from the American Academy of Dermatology, one can expect reduced ‘appearance of large pores, fine lines and wrinkles, scars, and stretch marks.”

    What Risks are Involved?

In general, microneedling is considered by the medical community as a safe and effective procedure. However, like everything else, there are still some risks involved.

The first risk involves skin irritation after the procedure. Other side effects can include the following:

    • Redness
    • Swelling
    • Bruising
    • Discomfort at the site
    • Dryness
    • Flaking of the skin

Bleeding isn’t a common reaction to microneedling, but it may be more likely to happen after a deeper treatment.

Bleeding can also be a risk for people who suffer from bleeding disorders, or those who take blood-thinning medications. It is important to inform your doctor about such matters before receiving treatment.

Other more serious side effects to microneedling include:

    • Skin pigment changes
    • Infection
    • Reaction to topical medications used during the treatment

Some devices can also result in additional risks, for instance tools that use heat or energy can increase the chances of burns.

And lastly, there are some people who are simply not qualified for this treatment, including those with:

    • Active acne
    • Keloid scarring
    • Active skin infection
    • Unstable skin type

It is advisable to consult with a dermatologist or skin care professional experienced in these types of procedures to help minimize the risks.

    Will Microneedling Work for You?

Compared to other alternatives, morpheus8 microneedling has been clinically proven to be effective for women and men with skin-types ranging from light to very dark. In addition, the mechanical process involved with microneedling is less abrasive compared to harsh skin peels. When you properly space treatments supervised by a physician, this procedure can be conducted year-round.

    What About Home Microneedling Tools?

Apart from availing microneedling at a dermatologist’s office, you can also do it by yourself from the comfort of your own home. Many home microneedling devices are available on the market nowadays. Although these tools cost less compared to sessions with a dermatologist, there are some major differences between the approaches.

Home microneedling devices, for one, come with shorter, more blunt needles compared to those designed for dermatologists and medical professionals. These home devices are not intended to penetrate the skin, meaning that home treatments will not be as uncomfortable compared to the ones done by professionals.

This means that home microneedling sessions will have a limited response and results. But even home devices can encourage an increase in blood flow, which may temporarily brighten the skin.

Lastly, these devices can be a bit difficult to clean, and failing to thoroughly clean a microneedling device increases the risk of infection or injury, especially if the needles penetrate the skin. In such instances, it would be better to seek professional help instead. You can visit here to know about the rtsnet. On the other hand, you can also get more essential info on mynewsport.
